School Concert
Australia St Infants School had their annual concert. The new venue is huge and at least everyone could fit in and see. A big improvement on the Aust St hall.
The performance was based on a popular kids book "Are we there yet" about going on the car trip holiday around Australia. With dance relating to the place (eg 12 apostles on the great ocean road) between each chapter.
The kids had a ball and it all ran smoothly (he said in a surprised voice). There is nothing quite like a bunch of 5-8 year old's having fun to bring a smile to your face. From the overawed mouth wide open stare to the diva's taking centre stage.
Max played a cow and got the expression spot on a sort of nonchalant chewing the cud stare. He also played a firework in the scene about new year on Sydney Harbour. He got quite into it and was one of the few boys actually moving his hips. Watching the girls swiveling hips and putting the whole body into and comparing boys who mostly only moved from the waist up was telling. A lot of boys don't "do" dance from an early age.
Grace's contribution will be up soon as I can find a decent photo.
I can't believe how big they are now! Or how mature Grace looks!!!
