Bye Bye Sicily hello Paris
Final farewell to Sicily. Hello Paris. We have found it very different to arrive in the afternoon rather than the morning. We aren't firing on all cylinders. Led to a very disappointing and expensive choice for dinner.
The difference turning right rather than left makes. We had a go at finding our favourite streets from our last visit. It only took about an hour and a half. But once found we felt we were really back in Paris.
Walked to the Eiffel Tower along the river. Once we got past the bit that is used as a public urinal it was a joy. The city has added great features along the river bank featuring gardens, wall sculptures and some innovative use of old shipping containers and bin skips. Walked up the tower and walked back down. Having gone through the same exercise last visit it was quite as exciting. Good first day and heading for a more organised one tomorrow.
