Toledo history in narrow lanes

We have walked the floor of a thousand year old Mosque, seen the most over the top decorations in a cathedral, wondered at the most beautiful cloisters with central gardens of orange trees.
Wandered and got lost down wonderful narrow lanes that miraculously open to plaza's nearly all with a cafe.
We have enjoyed wonderful food and service, settled in to Spanish time and so are eating dinner at 9:30pm. Warm evenings encourage you to linger sitting under the trees as the kids play.
3 old ladies sit on a bench in the square sometimes nodding other times quite contemplation living private lives in a public space as you do here. The mix of ages at the cafes is fantastic.
The square where we had wonderful food.

And to share all this with friends. Toledo is going to be hard to beat.
